Eudald Carbonell i Roura (Ribas de Freser, Gerona, 1953) is a CATALAN archaeologist, anthropologist and paleontologist , Spain. Director of the Catalan Institute of Human Paleoecology and Social Evolution i (IPHES). Its most outstanding scientific achievements are the creation of a system of analyzing prehistoric technology known as "logical-analytical system" and the study of ancient settlement of the Iberian Peninsula. These lines of work have led him to develop a transdisciplinary research program in the Sierra de Atapuerca (Burgos), initially under the direction of Professor Emiliano Aguirre. Since 1991, Eudald Carbonell is one of the co-directors.
