Only one shard of black-on-white pottery was seen here. No prehistoric dwelling sites were detected during the course of our hasty inspection, but it is quite possible that seA'eral such have been covered by shifting sand or completely effaced during the centuries since their abandonment. In the gap just north of the White Pockets (pi. 30, a), a strik- ing landmark from almost any section of Paria Plateau, is a small cave containingi the fallen masonry of several houses. Around.
