Dreer's Superb Late Branching Aster. DREER'S SITPERB LATE-BRANCHING ASTERS This superb strain, of American origin and especially adapted to our climatic conditions, has long been one of our leading special- ties, extraordinary care being given each season to the selection of the very finest specimens for stockseed, resulting in a strain that is acknowledged by the leading growers as unsurpassed. The plants form strong, branching bushes, 2 to 1\ feet high, bearing on long strong stems their handsome Chrys- anthemum-like flowers, which, under ordinary cultivation, average 5 inches across. The form of the flowers, which is nicely shown in the illustration above, to- gether with the length of the stems, places them at the head of Asters for cutting. They come into bloom from two to three weeks after the average type, usu- ally being at their best during September and Octo- ber, and filling in the gap between the general run of Asters and Chrysanthemums, and if only one var- iety of Asters is wanted, we recommend this type as the most likely to give the greatest satisfaction.
