Remarks.—From all other species of pseudochromids Pseudo- plesiops revellei may be distinguished by the lack of spines in the median fins combined with the fleshy keel on the under side of the lower jaw, and from all other species referred to Pseudoplesiops by the possession of a black spot on the operculum.
