Pipe vine (Aristolochia baetica)


The Andalucian Dutchman's pipe or pipe vine (Aristolochia baetica) is a member of the Aristolochiaceae family This is a poisonous perennial vine found in North Africa and the southern Iberian Peninsula. Flowers vary from 2cm to 5cm and are brownish purple in colour. Photographed in Andalucia, Spain, in March.
