Jet-powered Volkswagen Beetle at the Detroit Autorama 2006

This Volkswagen Beetle, modified by Ron Patrick, has both the normal gasoline engine and a General Electric T58-8F helicopter turboshaft engine converted to run as a jet. The car is street-legal and appears stock other than the jet engine in back. Air for the engine is drawn through the passenger compartment from the open sunroof and windows.
