Thanksgiving usually comes on the fourth Thursday in November; this year it was the fifth Thursday. Mums usually are pretty nearly at the end of their season when the fourth Thursday arrives. This year the heaviest demand was a week after the usual grand finale. This was especially important because many country buyers who usually use home-grown stock for Thanksgiving were compelled to order from Chicago. Also Thanksgiving eve was marked by a number of specially large coming-out parties that served to clear up a large quantity of the highest grade stock. The result was that the last week of November this year was far ahead of the last week of November last year and gave the month as a whole an ex- cellent showing. Ziskas Will Move. The first of a number of moves which promise to take place as a result of the change of quarters which the E. C. Am- ling Co. will make shortly, is that of Joseph Ziska & Sons, who last week signed a long term lease for the entire second story of the Durand building, at 169 to 175 North Wabash avenue, just above the new Amling quarters. The new location will be a decided improvement in every way over the quarters in the basement at 151-153 North Wabash avenue now occupied by the firm, giving them a greatly in- creased floor space, better light and im- proved facilities for carrying on their rapidly increasing wire design and flo- rists' supply business. The lease runs from January 1. Flowers for Miss A
