The Lake District National Park Authority has put up signs discouraging dangerous parking on a narrow lane along Windermere's west shore

Visitors numbers to the Lake District shot up after the coronavirus lockdown was lifted. The increase was accompanied by a number of problems including careless parking. Several roads were blocked by badly parked cars, preventing access to emergency vehicles. Here, along the western shore of Windermere, the Lake District National Park Authority has out up signs discouraging dangerous parking.
