Restorative work on windows and doors involves removal of failed modern latex paints and glazing compounds, and reinstallation of linseed based glazing putty and solvent free linseed based paints. The historic linseed based materials will long outlast the modern finishes, which for a building like Kolb Studio (hard to access for repairs) is a good investment and more sustainable approach. GCA
