Sgt. Alfredo Varela of the Colorado National Guard digs deep to maintain momentum before heading into an uphill section of the Sprint race during the Chief National Guard Bureau Biathlon Championships at Soldier Hollow, Utah on Sunday, February 25th, 2018. National Guard members and civilians from 24 different states will participate in the 4-event compeition that concludes on Thursday, March 1st.
