Rollat seen during the carnival in Sappada, a German speaking town in Dolomiti Mountains in Italy, where people still use their special old-fashioned German dialect, is divided into three Sundays: Sunday of the poor, Sunday of peasants and Sunday of lords. People wear traditional wooden masks named Love and play funny characters to entertain neighbours and visitors. The most important mask is Rollat, huge man in sheep skin coat with wooden face of shepherd.
