A milestone from the old railway line between Waskerley and Parkhead beyond Consett in Co. Durham, England, UK


A stone milepost bearing the inscription S&DR (Stockton and Darlington Railway) seen along the Waskerley Way cycle track, a section of the national coast to coast (C2C) route. The stone is located near to Parkhead not far from Stanhope. The line was originally constructed by the Stanhope and Tyne Railway, later amalgamated into the S&DR.
