Leith Walk Studios’ will officially open , marking the completion of a regeneration project made possible through capital grant funding of £750,000 from the Scottish Government and a further £550,000 from the City of Edinburgh Council. WHAT: Last used for trams 60 years ago, a tour of the completed regeneration project including the listed building being used as a partnership centre for public sector staff. And the creative hub (seven refurbished shipping containers) being managed by Out of the Blue, which will be used by musicians, painters, and designers to create their own work and teach their skills to hundreds of others. WHEN: Wednesday, 7 November - WHERE: Please meet at 165A Leith Walk outside the partnership centre. WHO: Cabinet Secretary for Communities and Local Government Aileen Campbell, Housing and Economy Convener, the City of Edinburgh Council, Cllr Kate Campbell, Rob Hoon of Out of the Blue, Paul McGirk, Chief Executive, Hub South East, the Council's Development partner.
