Aerial view of Convento de San Francisco covnet in Estepa, Seville province Andalusia South of Spain. The foundation of the convent of the Franciscan Order in Estepa dates from 1603. This church was built, with a Latin cross covered with a half-barrel vault with lunettes, on the remains of the primitive Hermitage of San Cristóbal, an invocation that gives its name to the knoll where it was locate. Work on the church was completed in 1646. The elegant portal is proto-Baroque from the beginning of the 17th century, while the interior decoration dates back to the 18th century. The tower was finished off in 1661 and the sacristy belongs to the 18th century.
