Wing length.—Mean wing length of Italian birds (Table 1, Fig. 5) is not significantly different from that of Danish birds, but is significantly smaller than that of Redshank from the British Isles (Table 1) in both males and females (Tukey HSDtest:p<). Bill length.—Bill length (Table 1, Fig. 4) is greatest in the Venetian population and shortest in the British population, with significant difference between them (Tukey HSD test: p<) in both sexes. Danish males are not significantly.
