Oct. 1 was the start of the 50th Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, debuting the 75th Anniversary Air Force hot air balloon. Maj. Gen. James Sears, Deputy Commander, Air Education and Training Command had the opportunity to be on its maiden flight.
