The quality of roses is excellent. With easier prices it should be possible to interest the public. With the increase in the supply of roses, particularly shorts, there has been a reduced demand for other flowers. This has been especially apparent with carnations, which are not in such in- creased supply as the quantity of stork on hand might be taken to indicate. Of course, prices have eased. Quality is thn best of the season to date. Bulbous stock now occupies a larger place. Jonquils and early-flowering tulips have become equal to all demands and a few Darwins are seen. Freesia is plentiful, including some excellent flow- ers of the named colored varieties, chiefly those of Frey's origination. Paper Whites and Romans have ceased to interest the buyers. There is plenty of valley.
