Hissecond wife survived him for a few years,and died on the 30th of April, 1900, wheneighty-five years of age. William H. Rushmore was the second inthe family of three children. He lived withhis father until eighteen years of age, spend-ing that time in the Empire state. He thenstarted out in life on his own account, andhas since depended entirely upon his own re-sources. Leaving home, he went to Cali-fornia and followed different occupations inthat state. He also worked for a time in Ne-vada and in Oregon, his chief occupation be-ing that of farming. In the fall of 1885,however, he left the Pacific coast and re-traced bis steps as far as Michigan. Through. MRS. W. H. RUSHMORE AND SON.
