A number of these rooms have been reconstructed, so thatthey are now very satisfactory from the standpoints of comfortand hygiene, and they present many points of interest to streetrailway companies in other large cities. A typical reconstructed waiting-room of this kind is that con-nected with the car house at Thirty-Second Street and DauphinStreet, and of which an interior view is presented 800 men are assigned to this car house, and make use ofthis room. The department devoted to the cashiers and receiversof this particular depot is located at the extreme end of the rnotor-.
