Sling Psychrometer
Sling psychrometer. A hygrometer is an instrument for measuring relative humidity. A psychrometer is a hygrometer that consists of two thermometers, one uses a dry bulb and the other one has a bulb that is kept wet. Due to evaporation from the wet bulb, its temperature is usually lower. Relative humidity is then computed from the readings of the two thermometers. A sling psychrometer has the two thermometers attached to a handle. It is spun around in the air for a few minutes before taking the measurements.
