Magdalen is one of the largest and oldest of the Oxford University Colleges. It stands next to the River Cherwell and has within its grounds a deer park and Addison's Walk. Here we see its famous Gothic tower, viewed from the High Street. There's an interesting fact about this Tower; it is a tradition, dating to the days of its founder - Henry VII - that the college choir sings from the top of it at 6 every May Morning. But not today, because it's mid-winter (believe it or not)... Oh, the clouds. I love looking at the skies. What you see is often beautiful, and ever-changing. Walking around Oxford on a fine Autumn day, I seemed to be the only person looking up; everyone else is heads-down, going about their daily business. They don't know what they're Here we see some stunning cirrus; interestingly, there are elements of both cirrus fibratus and spissatus in this lovely formation.
