An enthusi-astic naturalist, he bequeathed his collection ofbirds to the Edinburgh University. WATT, James Henry, engraver, was born inLondon in 1799. He was a pupil of Charles Heath,but showed much originality, and won distinctionas a line-engraver, in a style of his own. Healways worked on copper, which he managedwith great sympathy and power. Ho died inLondon in June 1867. Works: Procession of the Dunmow Flitch ; after blessing little Children ; after Highland Drovers Departure ; after Landseer.
