Wright Model H airplane. Flight of the new Wright military aeroplane, the Wright Model H, at Simms Station on Huffman Prairie, near Dayton, Ohio, USA, in 1914. US aviation pioneers Wilbur and Orville Wright produced a series of aircraft models, starting with the first successful flight in a heaver-than-air machine (1903). Among the designs they produced was the Wright Model H (1914), which had an enclosed fuselage and longer wings to allow heavier payloads to be carried. The similar Model HS aircraft had shorter wings. This photograph was published on 26 March 1915 by the Bain News Service, one of the USA's earliest news picture libraries.
