American soldiers and officers buried at the American Cemetery near Cierges, France. Over 150 individuals fought with various divisions in the Argonne during World War One. The photograph was taken on April 8, 1919, by Sgt. W. W. Bell, The image is part of the Atco 1988-79 collection and bears the description "ISSUED TAKEN 10 NUMBER AMERICAN CEMETERY NEAR CIERGES, HERE IS BURIED OVER 150 AMERICAN SOLDIERS AND OFFICERS THAT FOUGHT WITH VARIOUS DIVISIONS IN ARGONNE. NEAR CIERGES, MEUSE, IN ARGONNE, FRANCE. 1-21-19 NOTES: 52591."
