Sunan Kalijaga took advantage of the dance as a missionary endeavor to spread the islamic religion. Therefore, many of the Cirebon mask are imbued by islamic philosophies. The Cirebon Mask Dance has fifive dance principles, namely Panji, Samba, rumyang, Temenggung and Rahwana (Klana). Those fifive dances stand alone and are not biased if united with each other.
