Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Environmentalists rallied to support restrictions on burning coal for electricity.


Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Environmentalists rallied to support the Obama administration's proposed Clean Power Act, which would cut carbon emissions by restricting the use of coal to generate electricity. The rally occured outside an Environmental Protection Agency hearing on the proposal. The Rev. Dr. Leah D. Schade (in black, with clerical collar) was among a group of Lutherans joining in the action. Dr. Schade is pastor of United in Christ Lutheran Church in Lewisburg, Pa., and founder of the Interfaith Sacred Earth Coalition.
