Hard to explain how still and quiet this area can be - the reflections in the lake help to emphasize the serenity. The fells are spectacular offering views from so many vantage points you can't help but get at least one decent picture for your collection. Could happily spend a day around this lake taking photographs. The fact the weather was so poor makes it more real than the typical holiday poster of beautiful sunny clear skies.
