Medical diagnostic radiology research. Technician working in the SYRMEP (SYnchrotron Radiation for MEdical Physics) beamline room. A beamline is used to focus X-rays in a synchrotron, a type of particle accelerator. The SYRMEP beamline has been designed by Sincrotrone Trieste, in cooperation with the University of Trieste, Italy, and the INFN, for research in medical diagnostic radiology.
