The series was ended in 1677 in a book published in Brussels by Pierre Du Rayer and Francois Foppes. If loose prints is the set of known only from a group of prints from the collection Hinloopen (1619-1708) which is located in the Rijksprentenkabinet. This group has been extensively described by Jan van der Waals in his Hinloopen catalog (see: An unknown edition of a series Ovid illustrations in the print treasure Michiel Hinloopen, 1988, pp ). The discovery of a second set of prints of the series, coming from the workshop of Crispin de Passe de Jonge, provides an important addition to the Hinloopen group. Some prints show the prints in an incomplete state and feature improvements and additions in pen and brush. In addition, all prints feature 17th-century inscriptions which in some cases allows further identify the designers of the performances.
