In political viewshe is a Republican, and is serving as CountyTreasurer, having been elected to that officein 1902. ELMER COTTON, farmer, Hamilton Town-ship, Lee County, 111., was born in VermilionCounty, 111., April 13, 1862, son of Henry andElizabeth G. Cotton. During the year 1S81Mr. Cotton worked in the coal mines and thenremoved to McLean County, III., where he con-ducted a rented farm for seven years, and after-wards purchased 240 acres upon which he liveduntil
