Photovoltaic power station. Aerial photograph of the partly constructed Silver State North Solar Project, a photovoltaic power station being built by First Solar near Primm, Nevada, USA. This facility uses cerium oxide in its photovoltaic modules (black, upper left). The power station began operating in March 2012, generating enough electricity to power around 15,000 homes. At upper right is the Walter M. Higgins Generating Station. Photographed in October 2011.
