Hunslet Austerities with Giesl chimneys at work on the Cumberland coalfield. Part of the duty for these engines was to work the shale trains from the colliery out to the cliff tops for emptying in the sea below. It was a scenic and atmospheric location in which to enjoy trains in the industrial landscape.
