On the eastern bank of Lake Bohinj in Ribcev Laz, you'll find the 15th-century Gothic church of Sveti Janez (St. John). The small church has a fine bell tower and contains a number of notable 15th- and 16th-century frescoes. The church was closed for repairs at the time of this writing, but it was expected to reopen sometime in 2006. Ribcev Laz, Bohinjsko Jezero, Slovenia. Situated in in Triglav National Park, with the julian Alps and mount Triglav very close by.
