THE CHAMPIONS McGILL WINS CHAMPIONSHIP THE re\i\al of intercollegiate athletics this year wassignalized by almost unprecedented successes on thepart of McGills representati\es in various branchesof sport. This was largely due to the increased enrollment,Which meant a larger field from which winning teams couldbe picked, and to the immense amount of interest whichwas taken by all in the different branches of athletics. Theopening of the s|)lendid new Stadiuin was also a greatfactor in arousing enthusiasm; and the undergraduates,with this concrete e\ idence before them, realized as ne\erbefore that the\ had the support of the alumni. The factthat every undergraduate is expected to participate insome form of sport or physical training is another incenti\eto excel in competition with students of other years orfaculties.
