Sports stadium modelling. Researchers using a model in a wind tunnel to measure the wind flow and wind pressure produced on the roof of the Stade de France, a sports stadium in Paris, France. The model has been built to a scale of 1 to 200. This method can also be used to simulate how winds affect urban pollution. The wind flow is measured by a laser (blue) scanning across a fine plume of smoke. Photographed in the CSTB (Technical Building Industry Centre), in Nantes, France.
