Professor Gerdy Troost (1904 - 2003), a spendidly ornamented Nymphenburg vase, ca. 1940 Porcelain, cream-coloured glaze, matt and polished gilding, partially with gold etching and hand-painted floral ornaments. On one side cartouches bearing profile portraits of ancient Greek heroes. Green factory stamp and press mark on the bottom, model number "983" and the handwritten inscription "Designed by Prof. Troost". Height 38 cm. Excellent condition. Gerdy Troost, appointed professor by Hitler in 1937, supervised the construction of the House of German Art in Munich ,
