Lance Cpl. Collin Stewart (left) and Pfc. Stetson Kirkpatrick (right) repair a piece of ordnance equipment from a UH-1Y Venom aboard Ft. Drum, , Mar. 9, 2017. Marines with Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 269, Marine Aircraft Group 29, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing arrived at Ft. Drum Mar. 8, and will spend more than a week conducting aerial operations in the cold environment. The training will also offer the Marines a unique opportunity to come out of their comfort zone and build unit cohesion. Stewart and Kirkpatrick are aviation ordnance technicians assigned to HMLA-269.
