A great number of eminent British sculptors were engaged on the work, among them being Philip, Armstead, Macdowell, T heed, Bell, Weekes, Calder, Marshall and Thorneycroft. The Memorial cost L 120,000. It is situated on the South side of Kensington Gardens, and faces the Albert Hall. "
