Marine Corps Lt. Col. Jose L. Montalvan, the district regional operations officer for 6th Marine Corps District, celebrates his Volunteer of 2021 Award with his wife, Kerrie Montalvan, and his two sons during the Beaufort-Jasper YMCA of the Lowcountry annual meeting held in Beaufort, South Carolina, Feb. 24, 2022. Montalvan volunteered for approximately 200 hours as the sports coach for the 3-4 year-old soccer league and the 7-8 year-old soccer-league.
