Wooden figure of Jesus Christ on the crucifix decorated with small wooden crosses on the Hill of Crosses near Šiauliai in Lithuania. The most important Lithuanian pilgrimage site is located some 12 km from the town of Šiauliai. Nobody has ever tried to count how many large and small crosses are actually installed on the hill, but it is believed there are at least two hundred thousand crosses here. And every day dozens or even hundreds of new crosses are added by pilgrims from all over the world.
