Camino de Santiago (Way of Saint James). Pilgrim boots placed on the traditional kilometre milestone of the Camino de Santiago near the town of Arzúa in Galicia, Spain. The French route and the Northern route of the Camino de Santiago go through this town shortly before both routs reach Santiago de Compostela. The scallop shell, also known as the Shell of Saint James is depicted in the milestone as a traditional symbol of the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela.
