Offering yellow-orange marigolds, called cempasuchil, on the Day of the Dead or Death's Day. Also known as 'Flor de Meurto', flower of the dead, these flowers are thought to attract souls of the dead to the offerings. The holiday, which honours the dead, is celebrated mainly in Mexico and by people of Mexican heritage, and coincides with Catholic holy days of All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day. San Luis Potosi, Mexico. November 2, 2007.
