With its spire of 116m, the Catholic Church of our Lady, Bruges, visually dominates the city. It is its tallest structure, and the third highest brickwork tower in the world, Really. This magnificent Gothic structure was mostly completed from 1270-1280 CE, although the interior dates from later, and is mostly finished in baroque style. Here we see it from Walplein square to the south. This is a rather busy place with lots of restaurants, bars and statues, mostly frequented by tourists.
