The influence of theChurch has contributed largely to a transformation suchas few villages have known. The inhabitants need no otherargument for the purifying and energising power of theGospel than the history of the village during the last 70years. In 1865, to meet the increased need for room, effortswere made for a larger building, which resulted in the open-ing of a commodious chapel in 1S68. In 1902 this buildinghad become so dangerous that a new building schemehad to be entered upon to provide for the Churchssafety and need. The chapel was taken down, enlargedand rebuilt, to provide accommodation for about 420persons. T
