Inside the actual lock from which Camden Lock derives its name next to the famous London market which is popular with visitors the whole year round. In November 2013 the lock was drained so that the canal gates that were installed in 1915 could be completely renovated as the Regent's Canal is a popular leisure waterway through London. Visitors were briefly allowed into the lock for guided tours. Most visible was the beautiful and intricate brick work which lines the lock and makes it waterproof.
