The Slim House, London, United Kingdom. Architect: alma-nac architects, 2012. Detail of skylight and exposed original brickwork.

The architects completed an extensive refurbishment and extension of this uniquely narrow house; reputedly one of the narrowest houses in London. A sloping roof encloses a three storey extension with ‘cranked’ floor sections allowing maximum daylight to penetrate deep in to the plan. The House is metres wide and has been realised on a modest budget.
