(Aug. 14, 2007) - Naval Air Station (NAS) Key West Rescue Swimmer, Aviation Warfare Systems Operator 2nd Class Kyle Messmer returns to the hangar following the rescue of two kayakers in distress in the waters off Key West. Messmer and three other NAS Key West Sailors were conducting search-pattern training in a Navy SH-60S Seahawk helicopter approximately 40 miles northwest of Key West when they spotted the kayakers.
