The action should bo aided bycare in eating and drinking. The quan-tity and quality of the food should besuited to the wants and capabilities ofthe system. Dyspeptics should be care-ful not to chill the stomach with coldliquids. Hot water, taken just afterrising and before retiring, is often de-cidedly beneficial. Temporary relieffrom acidity of the stomach is obtainedby the use of small doses of fluid mag-nesia, bi-carbonate of soda, or lime water,. taken in milk or water.
