Ipswich High and Technical College Plumbing Workshop, August 1959. Ipswich Technical College opened in 1891. IN 1951, Ipswich State High School opened and it was called Ipswich High and Technical College. The High School was separated from the Technical College section in 1963 and the name reverted to Ipswich Technical College. In 1977 it became part of Ipswich College of Technical and Further Education (TAFE), later merged into Bremer Institute of TAFE and now part of TAFE Queensland South West.
