Bossom family memorial in the churchyard at Thursley, Surrey, England, UK. Two family members were killed in a light aircraft crash.

The Bossom Family memorial at Thursley in Surrey. Two family members, Mrs Emily Bayne Bossom and her son, Bruce Bossom who was the pilot, were killed in the Bossom air crash in July 1932. Emily was the wife of Mr Alfred Bossom MP. The light aircraft apparently broke into pieces in the air over Hankley Common near Thursley, Surrey. The cause of the crash is a mystery, but could have been due to a thunderstorm.
